SambaSports Youth Agenda ushered the new year in glittering fashion as the highly celebrated, longest serving Harambee Stars Goalkeeper, Legend Arnold Origi, visited SambaSports Youth Agenda on 5th January 2019, at Kombani, Kwale County.
The kind, calm and intelligent and longest serving Kenyan National Team goalkeeper, who has been playing his professional football in Norway for more than a decade, paid a courtesy visit to SambaSports, in recognition of the positively influential work that the Integrated Sports, Skits and Life Skills Training organization does to upcoming talents. Especially the fact SambaSports uses sports to sensitize adolescent boys and girls against drug abuse, juvenile crime, violent extremism and to motivate them to put more focus and efforts in their education.
Arnold, flanked by his close friend Curtis, donated several junior football boots to the SambaSports junior players, and also had a dialogue with some of the players that SambaSports supports, advising them on the best behaviours with which to grow and market their talents.
His key message to the young players was that, talent alone means NOTHING! It is only through hard word, good discipline and education that young talents can mushroom, expand, get exposed and gain great markets to perform at the highest levels of sporting arenas.
#Talent + #Education + #Discipline
Arnold was very well received by the SambaSports team, MAENEO CBO, and Directors from the SambaSports Board of Directors namely Mr. Hassan Mbondo of Kenya Ports Authority, and Mrs Nimusimu Mwasina, who is also the Sub County Administrator in the Kwale County Government.
