At SambaSports Youth Agenda, we recently had the distinct honor of hosting a delegation from the European Union in Kenya. This visit was a momentous occasion, highlighting our collective efforts and achievements in the Kujenga Amani Project—a transformative peace-building initiative that reaches across Kenya, Tanzania, and Mozambique, along the Swahili Coast.
The Kujenga Amani Project, which translates to “Building Peace” in Swahili, is a cornerstone of our mission at SambaSports Youth Agenda. Launched with the goal of fostering peace and enhancing conflict resolution among youth, this initiative has made a significant impact in Kwale and Mombasa counties. By engaging young people in constructive dialogue and activities through sports, we aim to instill values of empathy, cooperation, and leadership.The project addresses the unique challenges faced by youth in the region, including exposure to conflict and socio-economic instability. Through tailored workshops, mentorship programs, and community outreach, Kujenga Amani empowers participants to become proactive agents of peace in their own communities.
