As we celebrated the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, we were honored to be invited by UNESCO to participate in a series of events at Moving the Goalposts Kenya (MTG), Kilifi Headquarters. Our partnership with UNESCO has been instrumental in helping us achieve our goals of using sports for development in our community, particularly, inspiring young sportsmen and women to contribute efforts in environmental conservation within the larger goal of climate change adaptation.
One of the key takeaways from the events was the training we received on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). This training will be invaluable as we work towards creating a healthier community through sports. We also received valuable insights on value-based sports coaching, which will help us inculcate positive values in our players.

We would like to thank UNESCO and MTG for this growing partnership. This partnership has been instrumental in helping us achieve our goals and make a positive impact in our community. We would also like to thank TackleAfrica for the SRHR demo gifts, which will be very useful in our programs.
Another highlight of the events was the webinar on the intersection between sports and environmental conservation. We learned about the impact of climate change on sports and how we can make a difference through our actions. As a result, we have committed to planting 10 trees for each goal scored in our tournaments, as a bare minimum.
The SambaSports team also had the privilege of presenting our work to the UNESCO team. We showcased our astounding results-based sports for development model, which has been making a difference in our community. The exhibition was a great success and lit the hearts of the audience, appreciating our efforts.

In conclusion, we are grateful for the opportunity to participate in these events and for the partnership with UNESCO. We look forward to working together to create a brighter future for our community through sports for development.
