School holidays are often a time for children to relax and have fun, but extended breaks from school can also leave them vulnerable to various risks, especially for adolescents. With drugs and early sexual debuts becoming more prevalent, parents and communities must take steps to ensure the safety of their children during the holidays.
At SambaSports Youth Agenda, we are committed to empowering communities, and our latest initiative is a holiday mentorship program in Kwale. This program aims to mentor at least 60 learners four days a week, providing them with STEM subject tutorship, group work and presentations, and Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) life skills techniques training, all free of charge.

Through this program, we hope to equip these young learners with the skills and knowledge they need to make informed decisions and stay safe during the holidays. We believe that by offering these mentorship opportunities, we can help prevent drug abuse and early sexual debuts that can lead to shattered dreams.
As a token of our appreciation for their participation, we also provide the learners with tea/porridge and light snacks to make them feel at home. Our goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment where these young people can learn and grow, and feel supported in their community.

At SambaSports Youth Agenda, we recognize that the safety and well-being of our youth is paramount, and we are committed to providing them with the tools they need to succeed. Through our holiday mentorship program, we hope to create a brighter future for the youth of Kwale, one where they can thrive and achieve their dreams.
