Through the stewardship and coordination of Human Rights Agenda (HURIA), and funded by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD), SambaSports Youth Agenda hosted PVE actors from Kwale, Nakuru and Isiolo Counties, lead by their respective County Commissioners and Mr. Njenga Miiri from National Counter-terrorism Center, who came for benchmarking mission.
As the Pillar head and convenors of the Psychosocial Support pillar of the Kwale County CVE Action Plan, SambaSports organized a gallery walk exhibition to exhibit and demonstrate our PVE model that integrate, chiefly, mental health awareness and sensitization methodologies in all our programs. Key of these models being the Kumekucha trauma healing and resilience framework, the Kumekucha Quest model, both trained and mentored by our partners The Green String Network; Value Based Education (VBE) model trained and mentored by our partners Aga Khan Foundation, our Targeted Integrated Sports, Arts, and Life Skills packages etc.
The County Commissioners and the NCTC, and their County teams were amazed by our powerful integrated model, and Congratulated the team for an amazing presentation and general work ethics. The teams from Nakuru and Isiolo Counties were visibly inspired by our model and promised to trial the model in their home counties.
We are humbled by this feedback, coming after only 3 years of our existence. We wish to appreciate the support of the Board of Directors, the management team, the amazing and passionate members, and our various partners for making this level of recognition possible. God bless you all.
